/Now you tell me?

We have a large number of them, and as they keep having 50% off sales and 3 for the price of 2 sales, to get rid of them, we have no intention of getting those loathsome POS ones.

Hmmmm…black market. I remember it from WWII.

The problem with fluorescent lights is that they have to warm up. In a hallway where lights may only be on for a few seconds as you walk though it they just aren’t practical at all. I placed a couple of floods in my hallway to replace the incandescent bulbs, and I had to pull them out because they didn’t give enough light in the time period they were on. Once they warmed up they were fine.

I disagree that the light from the fluorescent bulbs are worse than incandescent bulbs. They used to be, but now they are pretty close. The problem is the warm up time and that they don’t work with dimmers. I’ll be stocking up on incandescent bulbs for all my dimmed lights before the ban goes into effect.
